West Ham make official bid for Bright Arrey-Mbi

The Hammers are looking to strengthen their defensive line.

Details: According to reputable journalist and insider Ekrem Konur on his X social media page, English side West Ham have made an official offer to Portuguese club Braga for 22-year-old German defender Bright Arrey-Mbi.

Previously, West Ham had attempted to secure the transfer of Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse, but after failing to do so, the club shifted their focus to Arrey-Mbi.

Negotiations are currently at an advanced stage.

Bright Arrey-Mbi joined Braga from Hannover in 2024 for €6.5 million. This season, he has made 27 appearances for Braga across all competitions, though he has yet to register a goal or assist.

Arrey-Mbi's current contract with Braga runs until 2029, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €7 million.
