“We’re proud to be here,” says Brice Ambina on the Indomitable Lions’ training camp in Australia
The Cameroonian international midfielder spoke about the team’s spirit as they prepare in Sydney for the FIFA Series.
Absent from the Cameroon squad due to an injury sustained during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Brice Ambina reflected on his frustration. But with that now behind him, the player is ready to take on new challenges with the Indomitable Lions. On the eve of Cameroon’s first match in the FIFA Series against Australia, the player spoke about the atmosphere within the squad currently in Australia for the FIFA Series in which Cameroon is participating. He described an ideal atmosphere with intense training sessions.
Everyone is here and there is a lot of intensity in training, a lot of energy. We are proud to be here. We have to rise to the challenge and that’s what we’re here for. Personally, I’m raring to go. It really bothered me a lot to miss the Africa Cup of Nations because I gave it my all during the season and the injury came at exactly the wrong time, but hey, it’s only a matter of time. So we’re starting again.
