"We will put on the greatest show of all time". McGregor said about his return to the octagon
Former UFC champion Conor McGregor (22-6) commented on the cancellation of the press conference in Dublin ahead of his fight with Michael Chandler (23-8) and shared his expectations for his return to the octagon.
"In agreement with the UFC, the press conference in Dublin was canceled due to a number of obstacles beyond our control. I apologize to my Irish fans and fans around the world for any inconvenience and appreciate all your passion and support. I cannot wait to put on the greatest show of all time in the Octagon," Conor wrote on X.
The 35-year-old McGregor hasn't fought since July 2021, when he broke his leg during the trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. However, he is set to return to the octagon later this year.
The Irishman will fight Michael Chandler on June 29 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas. Official ticket sales for the event began on April 26.
Previously, the legendary UFC fighter became a co-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Bare Knuckle is touted as "the fastest-growing sports company in the world."
