"We will not interfere". WBC will not strip Usyk of his title

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has commented on the possible organization of a fight for the undisputed world champion title between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. The official also stated that the organization is not against another bout for the undisputed championship.

Quote: "Unfortunately, Usyk has lost one of his titles [IBF]. However, from our perspective, he remains the undisputed champion. If Dubois wants to fight Usyk, we will not interfere. Yes, we have organized a fight for the interim title between Zhang and Kabayel, but we remain flexible and support the idea of a fight for the undisputed championship," Sulaiman stated.

Reminder: Earlier, Usyk revealed his preferred next opponent. In an interview with DAZN, the Ukrainian stated that he wants to face British boxer Daniel Dubois, the holder of the IBF title, in his next fight.
