"We will die on that pitch" — Kaizer Chiefs star issues fierce warning ahead of decisive clash
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa is ready to leave absolutely everything on the pitch to keep his team's African dream alive.
Details: Ahead of Friday's decisive CAF Confederation Cup second-leg encounter against Zambia's Red Arrows, the midfielder nicknamed Ox delivered an emotional rallying cry. Speaking to Sowetan, Mthethwa insisted that his teammates must show maximum determination to overturn their first-leg deficit.

The South African midfielder made an extraordinary promise ahead of the crucial encounter:
"We will die on that pitch if that is what we should do to win."
Mthethwa also explained exactly what Kaizer Chiefs must improve to overcome their opponents:
"We've seen how they play, so now the challenge is to outrun them. We must win every ball and make sure we don't concede."
The situation is far from comfortable for Amakhosi. Last Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs suffered a 1-0 defeat at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. Red Arrows captain Alassane Diarra scored the decisive goal in the 77th minute, handing the Zambian side a narrow advantage.
The return leg is scheduled for Friday, October 23, at 18:00 local time at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Kaizer Chiefs must overturn the one-goal deficit to secure a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
It's worth noting that Kaizer Chiefs received a bye in the competition's first preliminary round thanks to their CAF ranking. Red Arrows, meanwhile, reached this stage after eliminating Madagascar's FC Rouge in September.
