Tempers boil over after defeat! Kaizer Chiefs teammates clash after final whistle. VIDEO
The tension inside Kaizer Chiefs spilled over immediately after a painful night in Zambia.
Details: Kaizer Chiefs suffered a 1-0 defeat away to Red Arrows in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round, but another incident after the final whistle attracted plenty of attention.
Defender Reeve Frosler and goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner were involved in a heated confrontation after the match. Footage from the scene shows Frosler angrily addressing his teammate, with Leaner responding before the situation could escalate further.
Rushwin Dortley and Bruce Bvuma quickly stepped in and separated the pair. It remains unclear what exactly triggered the argument, and there has been no confirmed explanation from the club regarding the exchange.
The episode came at a difficult moment for Fernando Da Cruz's side. Kaizer Chiefs created few opportunities in Ndola and were punished in the 77th minute when Red Arrows captain Alassane Diarra scored the only goal of the first leg.
Kaizer Chiefs will now have to turn the tie around in South Africa. The decisive second leg is scheduled for Friday, October 23, at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, where a place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage will be at stake.
