We miss him: Four years ago, Diego Armando Maradona passed away skysports.com

November 25 is one of the saddest dates in football history.

Details: On this day, exactly four years ago, devastating news came from Argentina. At the age of 60, the legendary Diego Armando Maradona passed away.

Before his death, Maradona had been hospitalized and underwent surgery after a brain hemorrhage. Following his discharge from the hospital, he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. The official cause of death was reported as pulmonary edema caused by chronic heart failure.

Alongside Pelé, Maradona is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of the 20th century. In 1986, he led Argentina to World Cup glory, and at the club level, he played for Boca Juniors, Argentinos Juniors, Barcelona, Sevilla, and Napoli. After his passing, the stadium in Naples was renamed in his honor.

Reminder: Last week, Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martínez matched Diego Maradona's goal tally for the Argentine national team.
