“We Have to Pick Ourselves Up and Go Into the Next Game” — Frank Onyeka Reacts to Coventry Defeat
Frank Onyeka has urged Coventry City to quickly move on from their disappointing defeat to Southampton FC in the EFL Championship.
Coventry suffered a 2–1 loss at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday, a result that ended the club’s six-match unbeaten run in the league.
Speaking in his post-match interview with the club’s media team, Onyeka admitted the result was frustrating, especially after the team created several chances during the match.
“It was a good game, but unfortunately we could not get the win today. We had lots of chances which didn’t go in. It’s just one of those days,” Onyeka said.We have to pick ourselves up and go into the next game,”
“The defeat isn't something any player wants, but again, it's one of those days where we have to accept what has happened and use it to fuel us in the next game.
“When we scored, we thought it was time to go for a point, but at the same time, there were other chances. “It's disappointing, but there's nothing to dwell on here.
