"We have to do our job" - Arsenal head coach on the final Premier League match
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta spoke about the team's mindset ahead of the final Premier League match.
According to the Spanish manager, this is the most crucial moment, and he cannot wait for Sunday. Arteta is very optimistic about the possible outcome. The team had hoped for Manchester City to drop points, but that did not happen.
"We hoped for City to drop points, but it didn't happen. Now we must do our job, which will be difficult because Everton is in good form. We must prove once again that we can be better than our opponent and win the game," Arteta said.
He added that West Ham would need to have a perfect day to help Arsenal achieve their dream.
"The Premier League trophy has never been at the Emirates, and it was built almost 20 years ago. That’s a very long time. We must remain very optimistic," Arteta added.
Arteta has been at the helm of Arsenal since 2019. The London team occupies the second place in the Premier League table, trailing Manchester City by two points with one round remaining in the championship. In the final round, the team led by the Spanish coach will face Everton.
