"We Can Get Better" – Miguel Cardoso assesses Mamelodi Sundowns' level at the Club World Cup

Mamelodi Sundowns failed to reach the Round of 16 at the FIFA Club World Cup, but head coach Miguel Cardoso said he was pleased with the team's performance and revealed that he's been receiving praise from other clubs.
Details: In an interview with “The Pitchside Podcast,” the Spanish coach admitted that the team is currently performing at the level it should be. He clarified that this wasn't just his own assessment, but feedback he’s been receiving from colleagues in the football world.
Quote: "You know, I’ve worked in Spain, in France, and I have contacts in England. Many coaches in Portugal and across the world are sending feedback, one after another. They send messages like:
‘Wow, what a team!’ They say: ‘How can you come here and make such a statement of identity? Look at the quality of players and the structure we’ve built,’” Cardoso shared.
He added that the most important thing for the team now is to maintain this level of quality and continue improving — this is their key objective and source of motivation.
Quote: "There’s always something to work on, and we can get better. That’s the challenge for ourselves. We felt competitive, but now we need to build resilience on top of what we’ve already done," Cardoso concluded.
Reminder: Grant Kekana emphasized that the team needs to believe in themselves more, and that alone is something to be proud of.
