On Wednesday, July 10, England will face Netherlands in the semifinal of the Euro 2024. Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate shared his expectations for the game.
According to the coach, the Dutch team is not one to sit back in defense, but anything can happen. He added that they are prepared for everything.
"Dutch teams usually don't sit back in defense, and that's not what we've seen from them. But Ronald Koeman is an experienced coach. We are ready for anything.
This will be an exciting match with a lot of good players on the field. We will need to step up compared to our last match. In terms of the strength of the opponent, this is also a step up. And we are ready for that," Southgate stated.
The match between England and Netherlands will take place on Wednesday, July 10, starting at 21:00 Central European Time.
It is worth noting that the winner of this match will play in the final against Spain, who defeated France 2-1.
