'We are not ready!' Amorim admits Milan's problems after Europa League failure

Rúben Amorim has admitted that Milan are struggling to cope with a packed schedule after another painful European defeat! The Portuguese coach urged his players to remain humble as the Rossoneri suffered a 0:2 home loss to Ferencváros in the Europa League.

Details: Following the November 5 match at San Siro, Amorim acknowledged that his side were not yet accustomed to playing every two or three days. CentreGoals shared his remarks, citing journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The coach also accepted responsibility for a poor performance and said the team had failed to bring the right attitude into the contest.

The defeat was especially painful because Milan had beaten city rivals Inter 3:1 in the derby just days earlier. This time, Ferencváros striker Lenny Joseph scored twice in the second half, in the 52nd and 66th minutes. Amorim made three substitutions at halftime, but the changes did not prevent the Hungarian visitors from taking all three points.

The visitors even finished with ten men after Bamidele Yusuf was sent off in the 77th minute. Milan still could not score. Amorim said the team's first half was their worst of the season and stressed that inconsistency, concentration and squad rotation were issues he needed to address. His criticism was directed at the collective performance, not a single player.

It's worth noting that Milan have only three points from their first four Europa League matches, with one victory and three defeats. The Rossoneri previously beat Salzburg 4:0 but lost to Benfica and Bournemouth. Their next scheduled match is a Serie A visit to Genoa on November 8, giving Amorim little time to put things right.

Reminder: A new full-back for San Siro! Milan preparing millions for Palmeiras talent.
