Wayne Rooney attends Wimbledon tennis tournament with his wife
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, accompanied by his wife Coleen, decided to visit the ongoing Wimbledon tennis tournament in London, as reported by The Sun.
Rooney took to the stands to watch the showdown between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Australia’s Alex de Minaur. The match took place on Centre Court, with Djokovic claiming victory in four sets.
It’s worth noting that yesterday The Sun exclusively revealed that Wayne Rooney has signed an £800,000 contract to work as a pundit on the legendary Match of the Day show. The deal is set for two years, with an option to extend for another two years.
Recall that Rooney previously tried to build a coaching career, though it wasn’t particularly successful. In December 2024, he stepped down as head coach of Plymouth Argyle, having earlier managed Derby County, D.C. United, and Birmingham City.
Wayne ended his playing career in 2021, finishing as a Derby County player.
