Barcelona nearly took the lead at the very start of their away La Liga clash against Real Sociedad. The referee faced a challenging situation and ultimately decided to disallow the goal.

Details: Fermin Lopez found the net with a long-range strike just minutes into the match, but after reviewing the video replay, the referee spotted a foul in midfield.

According to VAR, Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo committed a foul on Takefusa Kubo in the build-up, dispossessing him illegally.

As of the 20th minute, neither side had managed to break the deadlock.

Reminder: Raphinha did not train with Barcelona's main squad. Here's why.
