Warren has stated a desire for a rematch between Joyce and Dubois
A win over Dereck Chisora could lead to a rematch between Joe Joyce and Daniel Dubois.
According to promoter Frank Warren, both boxers are interested in a second fight.
"Dubois has told me in the past that he would like to make the fight. They both want to do it. They'd both like to do it, and more importantly, they've been paid well for it.
Yeah," he said when asked if he was concerned about the heavyweight's health. 'I say concerned - I advised him to retire a while ago. But he keeps fighting - they want this fight, both of them. We gave [Joyce] a list of opponents - this is the fight they wanted. This fight is for him, where is he going to go?
If he loses, I don't see where he goes. If he wasn't fighting on our show, he'd be fighting on somebody else's show. He's fighting a guy about the same age who is also getting into a dangerous fight. He's a guy who's going to keep fighting. I just hope he doesn't do Danny Williams," Warren said.
Recall that Joyce and Dubois fought in November 2020, then Joe won by knockout in the 10th round.
Joyce, 38, will fight Chisora tonight at London's O2 Arena in an attempt to revive his career. Dailysports has put together a full card of tonight's boxing action for you.
