The Welsh national team did not have a successful qualification for the UEFA Euro 2024. The team gave away direct entry to the continental tournament to Turkey and Croatia, and in the final play-off match lost to Poland in a penalty shoot-out, so we will not see the Welsh in Germany.

Failure to qualify for the EuroForum has not deterred head coach Rob Page, who has no intention of resigning after the fiasco:

"Absolutely I want to stay. The team is in transition and while we are in it, we are one step away from qualification. We have the June games, the Nations League in the autumn and then World Cup qualification. I'm totally focused on that: finishing what we've already started to build.

I just know we have great players, great staff. We're going in the right direction. And there are young players that we need to bring into this roster. That's my next target," Page is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
