WAFCON 2026: the fixtures for Matchday 3 of Group D

Cameroon will take on Cape Verde, whilst Ghana will face Mali.

The group stage of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations draws to a close this Thursday, 6 August, with Matchday 3 of Group D. The matches on this final matchday are scheduled for 8 pm GMT.

Cameroon will face Cape Verde at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. The Indomitable Lionesses will go into this match full of confidence.

They have already qualified for the quarter-finals of the tournament thanks to their two wins on the first two matchdays of Group D. The Indomitable Lionesses have 6 points and sit top of the group ahead of this final matchday.

The second match will see Ghana take on Mali. It is a high-stakes fixture for both teams. The Black Queens and the Malian side are level on points (3) after two matchdays in Group D.

Ghana beat Cape Verde 2–0 on the first matchday before losing 1–0 to Cameroon on the second matchday.

As for Mali, they lost their opening match to Cameroon 2–1 before bouncing back with a 3–2 win over Cape Verde on the second matchday. The team that loses in the crunch match on the final matchday this 6 August will be eliminated.
