WAFCON 2026: the fixtures for matchday 3 of Group B

Ivory Coast will face Tanzania, whilst South Africa will take on Burkina Faso.

Group B of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will play their final day of the group stage this Tuesday 4 August. This final day promises to be decisive for qualification to the next round.

Group leaders with 4 points, Ivory Coast will take on Tanzania this evening at 8 pm GMT. The Ivorian women, who are well placed to secure their place in the quarter-finals, must avoid any slip-ups if they are to finish the group stage of the tournament on a high note.

The second fixture on the third and final day of Group B will see South Africa take on Burkina Faso. This match is crucial for the Banyana Banyana.

One of the tournament favourites, South Africa have yet to win a match in the competition. The South Africans lost their opening match 2–1 to Tanzania before securing a 2–2 draw against Ivory Coast on the second matchday.

Against Burkina Faso, South Africa must win if they are to have any hope of progressing in the competition. The match is also scheduled to kick off at 8 pm GMT.
