WAFCON 2026: Morocco and Algeria’s official line-ups revealed

Maghreb derby at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat for the bronze medal.

The third-place match at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations takes place this Saturday, 15 August, in Rabat. This fixture will pit Morocco, who were knocked out by Cameroon in the semi-finals, against Algeria, who were eliminated by Malawi.

The Atlas Lionesses and the Fennecs will battle it out for a consolation place on the podium. Morocco, the host nation, will be looking to secure the bronze medal to end the tournament on a high note. Algeria, who have had a strong run in the tournament by reaching the semi-finals for the first time in their history, will also be aiming to take home the bronze.
