WAFCON 2026: kick-off time and venue for the third-place match between Morocco and Algeria
The Atlas Lionesses and the Fennecs will face off this 15 August in Rabat for the tournament’s bronze medal.
The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which has been taking place in Morocco since 25 July, is drawing to a close. Whilst the final is scheduled for Sunday 16 August, the third-place match will take place this Saturday, 15 August.
This bronze medal match will pit host nation Morocco against Algeria. The two teams, both of whom were knocked out in the semi-finals, will battle it out for a consolation place on the podium.
The match is scheduled for this 15 August at 5 pm GMT at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat. Despite being knocked out by Cameroon in the semi-finals, Morocco will be looking to end the tournament on a positive note in front of their home crowd. For their part, Algeria will also be aiming to secure the bronze medal.
Morocco and Algeria have already qualified for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
