Details: In an interview, Tebas praised Vinicius for his outstanding performance last season, affirming that he deserves the Ballon d'Or. According to Tebas, such recognition would be the perfect accolade for Spain’s top league.
Notably, in the past fifteen years, only once has the award gone to a player outside a Spanish club - and even then, it was former Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Quote: "There is no better gift for the Spanish championship than Vinicius winning [the Ballon d'Or]. I believe Vinicius deserves this award. I think last season was exceptional for him," Tebas told Marca.
Reminder: Last season, Vinicius played 39 matches across all competitions, scoring 24 goals and providing eleven assists. With Real Madrid, the Brazilian captured both the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles.
