VIDEO. Two masterpieces. Yamal's goals at Euro U17 a year ago and Euro 2024 are indistinguishable
In the first semifinal match of the 2024 European Championship held on Tuesday, July 9, Spain's national team defeated France 2-1.
Le Bleu scored an early goal in the 9th minute, but Furia Roja quickly equalized. Lamine Yamal scored a stunning goal for Spain in the 21st minute, shifting from the right flank to the center and hitting the top corner.
Interestingly, this wasn't the first similar goal by the young Spaniard. Last year, in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, Yamal also scored against France in the semifinals, although Spain's U17 team lost 1-3 on that occasion.
By the way, in that tournament, Lamine Yamal became the top scorer, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
Additionally, Yamal became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the European Championships.
