VIDEO. Swiatek defeated the sex-symbol of tennis at the super tournament in Miami

The world's number one, Iga Swiatek from Poland, made a successful start at the hardcourt tournament, WTA 1000 in Miami, USA.

In the round of 32 of the prestigious competition, the Polish player defeated Camila Giorgi from Italy, ranked 108th in the WTA, in straight sets in just 1 hour and 8 minutes, conceding only 2 games.

This marked the third meeting between the two players, with Swiatek securing her second victory against Giorgi.

In the next round, Swiatek will face Linda Noskova (WTA No. 31), whom she lost to at the Australian Open.

Aside from her tennis career, Giorgi is also recognized as a model, often regarded as one of tennis' sex symbols.

Also advancing to the round of 16 was Naomi Osaka, who secured victory over Elina Svitolina in the second round.
