(VIDEO) Spalletti touchingly supports journalist who suffered a heavy loss

Football is more than just a game, and yesterday's gesture by Italy's head coach, Luciano Spalletti, truly exemplifies this.

During an open training session before Italy's match against Croatia, Spalletti approached Sky Sports journalist Marco Nosotti, embraced him warmly, and offered words of support. Recently, Nosotti suffered an irreplaceable loss with the passing of his wife.

Spalletti's heartfelt gesture brought Nosotti to tears.

The upcoming match against Croatia is crucial for Italy in the Euro 2024 group stage. The reigning European champions must avoid defeat to secure second place in the group.

Italy won their opening match against Albania 2-1 but then narrowly lost to Spain 0-1.
