Arsenal's versatile defender Jurrien Timber has recovered from a cruciate ligament rupture and returned to the football field.

Today, the 22-year-old Dutchman started in Arsenal U-23's lineup for the match against Blackburn. He made a spectacular goal just eight minutes into the game.

This match marked Timber's first appearance since August 12, when he suffered a severe injury in the opening Premier League match against Nottingham Forest.

Last summer, Arsenal acquired Timber from Ajax for €40 million.
