In Las Vegas, Brazilian fighter Alexandre Pantoja successfully defended his UFC flyweight title at UFC 310, defeating Kai Asakura via a rear-naked choke in the second round.
Details. Pantoja dominated the first round with consistent aggression, while Asakura countered with precise leg kicks. However, in the second round, Pantoja took the fight to the ground and secured a submission hold, forcing Asakura into a technical knockout.
This victory extends Pantoja’s winning streak to seven fights and marks his third successful title defense.
Context. Earlier, BKFC fighter Justin Watson made history with a 2.9-second knockout, setting the record for the fastest KO in combat sports history.
