Victor Osimhen has an extremely unexpected option to continue his career in Europe

Despite the transfer window being closed in most European leagues, Napoli's star striker Victor Osimhen may still leave the club.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Osimhen could join Galatasaray, with the Turkish champions having already agreed on a loan deal with Napoli. Under the terms, Galatasaray would cover Osimhen's entire salary.
However, the deal's completion hinges on Osimhen's consent.
This summer, Chelsea and Al-Ahli were in negotiations for Osimhen's transfer, but no agreement was reached. Meanwhile, Napoli no longer counts on the Nigerian forward, even excluding him from their Serie A squad for the season.
The transfer window in Turkey closes on September 13.
Over four seasons with Napoli, Osimhen has scored 76 goals in 133 matches across all competitions. In the 2022/23 season, which saw Napoli win the Scudetto, Osimhen was the top scorer in Serie A with 26 goals.
Galatasaray failed to qualify for the Champions League this summer and will compete in the Europa League group stage.
