VfL Wolfsburg has finalized their selection for the next head coach

The representative of the German Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg, has announced their selection for the next head coach on the club's website.

The team's new coach is the Austrian specialist Ralph Hasenhüttl. Hasenhüttl has signed a "long-term contract" with the club. The official presentation will take place on Monday, March 18th, during a press conference with sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.

It's worth recalling that in December 2018, Ralph Hasenhüttl was appointed as the head coach of English Premier League club Southampton. On November 7, 2022, the club's management dismissed Hasenhüttl due to unsatisfactory results. This marked his last coaching position before joining Wolfsburg.

Furthermore, Wolfsburg parted ways with their former head coach, Niko Kovač. In their recent Bundesliga match against Augsburg, Wolfsburg suffered a convincing 3-1 defeat as the visiting team. This prompted the club's leadership to terminate the contract with the coach, as stated on the team's official website.
