Details: According to Diário de Transferências, 37-year-old Argentine defender Nicolás Otamendi from Benfica has become a top transfer target for Brazil's Vasco da Gama.
It is reported that both sides are currently negotiating Otamendi's potential move in the summer of 2026 as a free agent.
Otamendi already has experience playing in Brazil's Serie A, having featured for Atlético Mineiro in 2014 on a six-month loan from Porto.
