Mourinho is hoping to rejuvenate his squad with a promising defender from Cape Verde.

Details: According to renowned journalist Ekrem Konur on his account in social network X, Lisbon's Benfica has begun official negotiations with Estrela regarding the transfer of the team's 23-year-old right-back, Sidney Cabral.

It's reported that Benfica is ready to offer around €6 million for the talented Cape Verdean. The source clarifies that this transfer has been personally approved by Benfica's head coach, José Mourinho.

In addition to Benfica, Porto, Sporting, Fiorentina, and Sassuolo are also keeping tabs on Cabral.

Estrela, in turn, expects to receive at least €8 million for Cabral.

This season, Cabral has played 16 matches for the club, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists.

His current contract with Estrela runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated at €2 million by Transfermarkt.
