The United States national team was reduced to ten men following a reckless challenge by Folarin Balogun in their match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Details: The referee reviewed the incident using VAR and showed Balogun a straight red card.

The incident was particularly nasty: the American forward went in hard on his opponent, prompting the officiating crew to intervene and send the referee to the pitchside monitor.

After reviewing the replay, Balogun was given a straight red card, leaving the USA a man down for the remainder of the contest.

This is not just a problem for the current match for the Americans. If the USA manage to progress, Balogun will be suspended for the round of 16 due to his red card.

Reminder: Earlier, we reported that Folarin Balogun is one of the transfer targets for French giants PSG.
