For nearly three years of his coaching career, South African manager Rhulani Mokwena spent his time at Orlando Pirates. The fans have been eager to see him return to the club from Naturena, and it appears that this reunion could soon become a reality.
Details: According to iDiski Times, Orlando Pirates have opened negotiations with the 38-year-old coach, who previously stated he was open to rejoining the Buccaneers. However, the club needs to act swiftly, as there is also reported interest from Egypt's Pyramids FC.
Orlando Pirates are eager to seal the deal as quickly as possible to give the coach ample time to prepare for the club's pre-season tour in Spain.
Background: Mokwena served as assistant to Milutin Sredojević and Josef Zinnbauer at Orlando Pirates from 2017 to 2019 and again in 2019-2020. When the Serbian coach was dismissed in August 2019, Mokwena stepped up as interim head coach of the Buccaneers.
