Mokwena could take charge of CAF Champions League finalist

After leaving Morocco’s Wydad in April, South African tactician Rhulani Mokwena has been on a creative break. But that pause might soon be over.
Details: Despite their CAF Champions League triumph, Egypt’s Pyramids FC may soon part ways with head coach Krunoslav Juric. The Croatian manager has stated he will step down if he cannot reach an agreement with the club’s hierarchy on future plans.
According to The Egyptian Telegraph, Pyramids’ management has identified Mokwena as their top candidate to replace Juric. Not waiting for the Croatian’s official exit, the Egyptian club has already initiated talks with the South African coach. Reportedly, Mokwena has been offered a contract for the entire upcoming season.
Reminder: Previously, Mokwena was at the helm of Mamelodi Sundowns, and public opinion in South Africa believes that he should return to the team and replace Miguel Cardoso as head coach.
