Liverpool launches an offensive on the French transfer market.
Details: According to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas, Liverpool has made an initial inquiry to Monaco regarding 24-year-old France international winger Maghnes Akliouche. The English club has checked on the potential availability of the player for a transfer.
Akliouche also remains one of Paris Saint-Germain's top targets. The Parisians have already submitted several offers to Monaco, but none have satisfied the Monegasques. The latest bid from the French giants was reportedly around €40 million.
At this stage, Liverpool has only made initial contact—there is no word yet on the start of official negotiations or a concrete offer.
