Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has lost a significant sum after a failed investment in a business venture run by a friend, according to Sportowe Fakty.

Reports indicate that Gerrard invested over £370,000 in Angel Revive, a company specializing in the sale of premium mineral water. With this investment, Steven acquired a 25% stake in the company.

He wasn't alone—an entire group of investors poured in more than £2.5 million. But the enterprise proved to be a flop, as the business was soon forced to shut down due to bankruptcy. Bankruptcy documents revealed that the company’s debts totaled £542,000.

Gerrard managed to recover only £50,000 of his initial investment, meaning he lost more than £320,000.

As a reminder, Steven Gerrard is a Liverpool legend who spent nearly his entire playing career at the club. His crowning achievement in the famous red shirt was lifting the Champions League trophy in 2005.

After hanging up his boots, Gerrard turned to coaching: he led Rangers to a Scottish Premiership title, then went on to manage Aston Villa and Saudi side Al-Ettifaq.
