Chelsea's legendary captain John Terry became the star of an ironic viral video.
Details: While watching the League Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Arsenal on TV, John Terry decided to record the final seconds of the match on his phone.
As the match ticked past the 90th minute, Terry pulled out his phone, anticipating a dramatic Chelsea winner. But football had other plans: in the 97th minute, the ball hit the back of the Blues' net, handing victory to the Gunners. Instead of capturing scenes of jubilation, Terry's camera recorded the heartbreak of a club legend.
The video gained extra charm thanks to his daughter's reaction. Spotting her dad filming, she persistently urged him not to post it online—but, as it turned out, dad didn't listen.
For the record, Arsenal won the match 1-0, sealing a 4-2 aggregate victory over two legs.
Reminder: Chelsea midfielder Dário Essugo will not return to the pitch before March.
