The match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich was marred by an unfortunate incident for the hosts right at the end of the first half.

Details: The captain of the "Black and Yellows," Emre Can, was forced to leave the pitch early in "Der Klassiker." Emre Can collapsed onto the turf, writhing in unbearable pain. The injury was so severe that he could not continue in one of the most fiercely contested fixtures in German football.

The severity of the injury is underscored by the fact that such an experienced and physically robust player as Can could not continue and left the pitch in tears. Ramy Bensebaini came on to replace the injured captain at Signal Iduna Park.

At this moment, Borussia’s medical staff are not providing any specific prognosis regarding the captain’s recovery time.

Reminder: Former Bayern and Argentina defender Martín Demichelis is set to take charge at Mallorca.
