Major changes are brewing in Mallorca's coaching staff.
Details: According to insider Jordi Jimenez, Argentine specialist Martin Demichelis has emerged as the leading candidate for the head coach position. He is seen as the direct replacement for Jagoba Arrasate, whose departure from the Islanders’ bench is becoming increasingly likely.
At this moment, Demichelis' chances of landing the vacant post have improved significantly. The club’s management view the former Bayern and Argentina defender as a leader capable of injecting new energy and stabilizing results in La Liga.
Reports indicate that negotiations between the parties are at a “very advanced stage.” Club representatives and the coach have already discussed key contract details, long-term objectives, and potential squad reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window. If the final formalities are settled, an official announcement could follow very soon.
It’s worth noting that Demichelis’ last club was Monterrey in Mexico, where he managed 43 matches and claimed 20 wins.
Reminder: Nicolas Jackson is currently the only unhappy player at Bayern Munich.
