Unexpectedly. José Mourinho posts photo with Croatian coach Slaven Bilić
Fenerbahçe head coach José Mourinho has shared a new personal photo on his Instagram page, featuring none other than Croatian manager Slaven Bilić.
In the photo, Mourinho can be seen snapping a selfie with his colleague — the two are posing together, arms around each other, beaming at the camera.
Slaven Bilić is best known as the head coach of the Croatian national team, a position he held from 2006 to 2012.
It's worth noting that the Portuguese and the Croatian have known each other since their coaching stints in the English Premier League. Bilić managed English clubs in the 2010s, leading West Ham from 2015 to 2017, and also West Bromwich Albion during the 2019/20 season. Mourinho, during the same period, was at the helm of several English sides — Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham.
Bilić's most recent managerial position was with Saudi club Al-Fateh, where he spent the 2023/24 season before parting ways in the summer of 2024.
