Unexpectedly. Al Hilal back in the race for Osimhen
The saga surrounding Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen's future has taken another twist. Saudi powerhouse Al Hilal has re-entered the race for the forward, submitting a renewed offer to Napoli that could rival Galatasaray, who intend to buy out his contract.
However, the parties have yet to agree on the payment structure, according to Football Italia. While the Turkish side is willing to pay the requested €75 million, they want to spread the fee over several installments—the first being €40 million, with the remainder to be paid later.
This is where Al Hilal has seized the initiative, offering the same amount but with terms more favorable to Napoli: two equal payments of €37.5 million each.
It's worth recalling that the player previously turned down a massive €30 million-per-season salary offered by the Saudi club. However, the new proposal might change his mind—especially given the prolonged negotiations with Galatasaray.
