Details: According to insider Graeme Bailey, Atletico are interested in bringing back the Manchester City midfielder and are prepared to join the race for their former player.
However, Atletico’s chances of sealing the deal are practically nonexistent. The Madrid club’s representatives have been told that Rodri’s sole objective is a move to Real. The midfielder wants to continue his career at the Santiago Bernabeu and is not considering a return to Diego Simeone’s squad.
As a result, Atletico find themselves in the same situation as PSG and Bayern: other European giants are not ready to enter the transfer battle, as the player’s priority is crystal clear.
It’s worth noting that Rodri, now 30, is under contract with Manchester City until June 2027. Real have already made initial contact with the English club and are preparing an offer for the Spanish midfielder.
