Unexpected: Son of tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf joins Germany’s baseball team
Jaden Agassi, the son of legendary tennis duo Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, has inherited his parents’ athletic genes—but not in tennis. Instead, he has chosen a different path, making a name for himself in baseball. According to Bild, the young athlete has officially joined the German national baseball team.

From a young age, Jaden realized that tennis wasn’t his passion. Instead, he was drawn to baseball and always dreamed of pursuing it professionally. Now, he aims to bring the Agassi name into the baseball world, not just tennis history.
His journey, however, has been far from easy. At one point, he was forced to sit out for two full seasons. In 2019, he underwent surgery for a serious elbow injury, and just as he was recovering, the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 further delayed his progress.
Despite these setbacks, the 23-year-old remained dedicated to his sport and finally broke through last summer when he was named Player of the Week in MLB’s Draft League. Now, he’s set on helping Germany qualify for the Baseball World Cup. The qualifiers kick off on March 2, with the tournament scheduled to take place next year.
