Unexpected. Renowned coach to take charge of legendary French club
One of France's most ambitious clubs has finally settled on the identity of its new head coach.
Details: According to insider Santi Aouna, Bruno Genesio is set to make his return to management in Ligue 1. The experienced French tactician has agreed to take the helm at Marseille.

Both parties have already finalized the terms of a personal contract, which will run for two full seasons, until June 2028. Additionally, the agreement includes a club option to extend the deal for a further season.
Reports indicate that all official formalities will be completed in the very near future. As soon as the paperwork is signed, the club will make a public announcement regarding the appointment.
It's worth noting that Genesio's last managerial post was with French side Lille, which he left in May 2026.
Reminder: Marseille winger Mason Greenwood is set to leave Marseille and continue his career in Turkey.
