Leganés, who play in Spain's second tier, have announced the signing of Como striker Álvaro Morata. The 33-year-old forward has joined the club on loan until 30 June 2027. The agreement also includes a purchase option that Leganés can exercise at the end of the loan spell.
During his presentation, Morata, as is often the case at such events, decided to show off his technique and began juggling the ball. However, the show did not go entirely to plan: Álvaro lost control of the ball several times, although he did manage to pull off a few impressive tricks.
Morata is known for his spells with some of Europe's leading clubs. Over the course of his career, he has represented Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid, Getafe, Juventus, Chelsea, Milan, Galatasaray and Como. The Spaniard has won around 19 team trophies during his career.
With Real Madrid, Morata won the Champions League twice, as well as the Spanish league title, Copa del Rey and UEFA Super Cup. With Juventus, he won Serie A twice, lifted the Coppa Italia three times and claimed the Italian Super Cup.
Now the experienced striker will continue his career in the Segunda, where he will help Leganés fight for a return to Spain's top flight.
