Boxing legend Mike Tyson made a surprising confession in an interview with Fox Nation, revealing why he ultimately agreed to fight Jake Paul despite the bout’s postponement.

The former champion admitted that he was not fully prepared for the fight due to serious health issues. Iron Mike was forced to reschedule the original July 20 date after suffering from a bleeding stomach ulcer.

Although he eventually stepped into the ring in November, the lingering effects of his condition prevented him from having a proper training camp. However, he felt compelled to go through with the fight, fearing legal repercussions.

"I was afraid they’d sue me. I thought, ‘Oh God, they’ll take me to court if I don’t fight.’ I had a bleeding ulcer about three inches long. I kept losing blood and had to undergo 10 blood transfusions. My wife saw me screaming in pain because my body was in agony. When I got home, I thought, ‘Oh, I swear I’ll never do this to myself again,’” Tyson admitted.

Shortly after his fight with Paul, Iron Mike officially announced that he would never step into the ring again.
