It's been revealed where the legendary Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci will continue his career. According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Bonucci is set to terminate his contract with Union Berlin and sign an agreement with Fenerbahçe in the near future.

The move will take place as a free agent transfer. The Italian will sign a contract with the Turkish club until the end of the current season.

Reportedly, former Inter and Roma forward Edin Džeko played a significant role in Bonucci's decision by persuading the Italian to accept the offer from the Istanbul-based club.

Previously, there were speculations about Bonucci continuing his career at Roma, but these plans did not materialize. Genoa was also among the clubs mentioned as contenders for the experienced player.

The 36-year-old defender joined Union only last summer, but did not receive enough playing time in the German team. He played 10 matches for the new team, scoring one goal.
