Roma is interested in the services of Italian center-back Leonardo Bonucci, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.

The source notes that the club has a modest transfer budget available for the upcoming winter transfer window. Considering that Edin Džeko will head to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, and both Chris Smalling and Marash Kumbulla are recovering from injuries, the "Wolves" are aiming to bolster their defense.

Some players within the Italian team have approved Bonucci's potential move. It's worth noting that Bonucci has spent several years alongside many current Roma players while representing the Italian national team, and he shared a considerable amount of time at Juventus with Paulo Dybala.

At present, the 36-year-old player is with Union Berlin. This season, he has participated in 10 matches across all competitions, scoring one goal. Additionally, his contract with the German club runs until the end of the current season.

Earlier, we reported that Bonucci intends to conclude his football career at the end of the current season.
