Recently, Manchester City has unexpectedly faced significant issues on the football field, but the club may soon face new challenges off it.

Details: According to The Times, a bill has been introduced in the UK Parliament regarding football governance, which proposes to ban entire states from owning football clubs.

If the bill is passed and comes into effect, Manchester City and Newcastle will need to find new owners. City is owned by City Football Group, which is controlled by UAE sheikhs, while Newcastle is directly owned by the Saudi Arabian Investment Fund.

Manchester City is also facing accusations of 115 violations of Financial Fair Play rules, with the club potentially facing relegation to the Championship as a consequence.

Reminder: On Tuesday, Manchester City shockingly drew 3-3 with Feyenoord in a Champions League match, despite leading 3-0 during the game. In their last six matches across all competitions, Pep Guardiola's team has suffered five defeats.
