Uganda vs Nigeria: what you need to know about the match

Uganda currently have one point after two rounds. In their opening match, the team lost 1–3 to Tunisia, before drawing 1–1 with Tanzania in the second round. With one point on the board, their playoff hopes remain purely theoretical. To qualify, they would need to defeat Nigeria by a convincing margin and hope that Tanzania also beat Tunisia, likewise by a comfortable scoreline.

Nigeria have already settled all matters in the group. The team edged Tanzania 2–1 in their opening match and then overcame Tunisia 3–2 in the second round. Six points from two matches have already secured top spot in the group and a place in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
