UFC President Dana White expressed doubts that MMA legend Conor McGregor will return to the octagon in June, as the Irishman previously announced.

White also confirmed Michael Chandler's statement that their fight has not been officially approved.

"Do you know where Conor is tonight? He's in New York at the premiere of the movie 'The Road House'. He has commitments to promote this movie. He flew all over the world, attended all premieres to promote this movie. It's an obligation he has to fulfill. He has devoted himself to this movie. He can't do both. Once this movie hits the screens, he can return to the gym and start training full time.

When you start making a lot of money, you're not as hungry as before. It's harder to push yourself to go to the gym. It's hard to train as hard as before, and it's harder to stay on top when you've made that kind of money. This guy has been living on yachts for months. For a guy who has never been involved in big business, he's a pretty good businessman.

He needed this time to fulfill his obligations, and now he can get back to work. This means that from Thursday we can start talking about Conor's fights," White said.

The 35-year-old McGregor hasn't fought since his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
